Control Freaks on a Power Trip
When you are told to evacuate during a hurricane, you are also reminded of the power of the state to keep you from your property long after the danger has passed, all under the guise of safety.
This is why I don't evacuate and stay put, and this is one of many reasons why I don't
live in heavily populated areas, especially with all the roaming criminals on looting sprees every time.

I was watching to see if you posted today Marcel.
Have seen some of the chaos breaking out today.
Truly I believe it is only beginning. I have never seen such arrogance.
My cousins house in Jacksonville is flooded around it, but they think, so far, the inside remained dry. The place where we used to live about a 150 feet from the St. Johns river is flooded.
I thought you might be busy this morning clearing up around your house.
Hope all is well and your vehicle made it through too.
Rain and some wind here last night, and got almost cold, but has settled down now.

Hi brother,
I picked a good place to park the vehicle. Went down to the river to look at the level as it is supposed to rise to flood stage by Friday.
Still millions of people without power, many getting stressed and angry.
Thought about how Americans lived without electricity 130 years ago and how we are weakened and trapped by our technology today.
Many people crying 4 days without electricity.
Was strongly resigned to waiting, being thankful, and trusting the Lord and was surprised to see power come back on after 11 am.
Only 36 hours without power MANY WILL BE WEEKS and weeks WITHOUT.
Not in a hurry to clean up as it will be daunting and long term, little by little.
Listening to radio and all the people around North Central Fla. calling in, sharing info and stories was a blessing.
Great job and help for many, many people.
Will miss it when they are done 24/7 Irma coverage.

Gas still hard to find, long lines everywhere.
Learned in Boy Scouts to BE PREPARED.
I didn't have to worry about water, food, gas or propane.
No insurance on this mobile home since 2003, I have Jesus insurance.
Lots of peace and no stress here.
