Interesting that the followers of the false prophet are calling the heat "ungodly" when it is God's heat on the ungodly. He is always in control, especially of His weather which He created.

He is trying to get the attention of His wicked and rebellious creation.
It is all about the Creator of All Weather, the God of Israel, sending His warnings to draw sinner man to repentance and humility, and to Him.
