Barrel rolls over plane in latest Baltic Sea provocation
The recent Russian military provocations coincide with military activities by Moscow in the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, which remains a major subject of U.S. monitoring. Russia in the past has threatened to deploy nuclear-capable Iskander short-range missiles in the enclave on the Baltic Coast between Poland and Latvia.
“There have been repeated incidents over the last year where Russian military aircraft have come close enough to other air and sea traffic to raise serious safety concerns, and we are very concerned with any such behavior."
"This unsafe and unprofessional air intercept has the potential to cause serious harm and injury to all aircrews involved,” Navy Capt. Danny Hernandez continued.
“More importantly, the unsafe and unprofessional actions of a single pilot have the potential to unnecessarily escalate tensions between countries.
Don't worry Danny, tensions are already escalated, very escalated indeed!
What a strange response from the US War Machine in training for war in the Baltic Sea next to Russia.
Serious harm and injury is what war is all about.
War is always unsafe, and the more professional you are the more people die.
War is never safe and so Obama and US Military leaders need to realize why this Russia/ U.S. showdown is escalating and where it is headed.
Think hard and fast about the impossibility of things continuing as they have and grasping that they are about to get much, much worse, raising serious safety concerns for everyone on the earth.
