A ONCE GREAT PLACE CALLED SODOM

God comes from Teman,
And the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah.
His splendor covers the heavens,
And the earth is full of His praise.
His radiance is like the sunlight;
He has rays flashing from His hand,
And there is the hiding of His power.
Before Him goes pestilence,
And plague comes [e]after Him.
He stood and surveyed the earth;
He looked and startled the nations.
Yes, the perpetual mountains were shattered,
The ancient hills [f]collapsed.
His ways are everlasting.
I saw the tents of Cushan under distress,
The tent curtains of the land of Midian were trembling.

There once was a GREAT place called Sodom. After much toil and success the people became proud, careless, complacent and unthankful.

They credited themselves for their good fortune and forgot God who had greatly blessed them. They decided that they themselves were gods of their destiny and lives.

Having forsaken the Light and Truth dark times fell on the blind people and their blind and foolish leaders.

Great plagues came upon the land from the East to humble the proud foolish little gods and quickly shook their GREAT success down to the ground.

Instead of waking up and turning back the stubborn little gods wasted their great wealth and the abundance they had suddenly dried up.

They created a vaccine instead of seeking their Maker to save the foolish people who trusted in themselves and could not see that an even more catastrophic, final judgment was approaching to bring Sodom down to ash and dust.

13 Minutes in Sodom & Gomorrah

The Doom of Sodom

19 Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening as Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground.
