South Korea says it fired warning shots at intruding Russian military plane, but Russia denies it.

South Korean air force jets fired 360 rounds of warning shots after a Russian military plane briefly violated South Korea's airspace twice on Tuesday.

Three Russian military planes -- two Tu-95 bombers and one A-50 airborne early warning and control aircraft -- initially entered South Korea's air defense identification zone off its east coast before the A-50 intruded into South Korean airspace.

It is the first time a foreign country has violated South Korean airspace.

Japan also confirmed it scrambled fighter jets in response to the Russian incursion

Seoul (CNN)South Korean fighter jets fired more than 300 warning shots at a Russian military aircraft that had violated the country's airspace Tuesday, defense officials said, in an account furiously disputed by Moscow.

The incursion came during what South Koreans officials believe was a joint Russian-Chinese military exercise. Two Chinese H-6 bombers had passed into Seoul's air identification zone just hours before, joined by another two Russian military planes, according to defense officials.

My first thought is that Russia & China made this move on close ally of America, South Korea (and Japan) because of the Venezuela blackout and US build up of military forces against Iran.

Just a reminder to Washington that the Cold War is over and the Hot War is in it's early stage.

Iran says it’s watching all US ships in Gulf, keeping record of their movements

“We observe all enemy ships, particularly (those of) America, point-by-point from their origin until the moment they enter the region,” Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi said.

British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt on Monday said the UK wanted to establish a European-led maritime protection force for the Gulf but emphasized that London was not seeking a confrontation.

Venezuelan government blames 'electromagnetic attack' for nationwide blackout

The ongoing blackout has left nearly the entire country without power, including the capital Caracas.
The country saw three major blackouts in March alone, with residents in poorer areas of Caracas and outside the capital hit the hardest.
