I just read a commentary talking about how stupid the US is for standing with Israel against all the Muslim countries and the UN, and that it would lead to disaster for the US. He forgot to mention that it's our CONTROLLING presence with Israel that's going to be our undoing. I saw another one yesterday that decried Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, saying that it would undo progress toward peace. I had to laugh at that one! As though some progress is being made toward peace! It's been 24 years since Oslo and 69 years since 1948 and things haven't changed an iota, and the stupid (probably 30-something) writers are implying that Trump is destroying all this progress that's being made toward peace! They're still holding this "peace" carrot out. I call what Trump did bringing things to a head so the festering sore can be lanced.
