SHAKEN

I had a chance encounter with a lady in her 80's in the Wal Mart parking lot. I said to her  'You must believe in Jesus'. 

She said yes, and then went on to say her whole world has been turned upside down.

I reminded here that everything that can be shaken would be shaken, and we haven't seen anything yet.

Then I shared the event where Jesus and the disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee (Kinneret) heading West on a major, and greatly important training mission for them.

Jesus was in the back of the boat sleeping as a major storm shook the seasoned fishermen to the end of themselves and any confidence in their long acquired abilities to deal with this event.

They were in serious panic and terror when they woke Jesus up and berated Him for not caring that they were going to die.

He rebuked them for their lack of faith !

Then He turned to the CLIMATE CHANGE and said  

"Peace, be still."

Immediately the storm disappeared, and the tumultuous sea became glassy calm.

That's when the disciples really freaked out and they said ' Who is this fellow that even the winds and waves OBEY Him ???

I then reminded her about those who build their lives on a solid foundation, the ROCK Jesus Christ, and those who build their lives on all the sand, the collapsing foundation of the 'American Dream' that no longer exists.

I believe like many she needed to be reminded that Jesus is not only going to shake the earth but the heavens also.

Men's hearts failing them for the things that are coming upon the earth is what Jesus told us about the days we are now in.

11 I will [c]hand it over to a mighty one and a mighty one of the nations; he will most certainly deal with it. I have driven it away in accordance with its wickedness. 

12 Alien tyrants of the nations have cut it down and left it; its foliage has fallen on the mountains and in all the valleys and its branches have been broken in all the ravines of the land. And all the nations of the earth have come from under its shade and have left it. 

13 All the birds of the sky will nest in its ruins, and all the animals of the field will rest on its fallen branches 14 so that none of the trees by the waters may exalt themselves because of their height, nor set their top among the clouds, nor their well-watered mighty ones stand [arrogantly] in their height. For they have all been handed over to death, to the earth beneath, among the sons of men, with those who go down to the pit (the grave).”

15 ‘Thus says the Lord God, “On the day when Assyria went down to Sheol (the place of the dead) I caused mourning; I closed the deep [subterranean waters] over it and restrained its rivers. And the many waters [that contributed to its prosperity] were held back; and I made [the heart of] Lebanon mourn for it, and all the trees of the field wilted away because of it. 

16 I made the nations quake at the sound of its fall when I cast it down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit; and all the well-watered trees of Eden, the choicest and the best of Lebanon, will be comforted in the earth beneath [at Assyria’s downfall]. 

17 They also went down to Sheol with it to those who were slain by the sword; those who were its strength lived under its shade among the nations.

18 “Which among the trees of Eden do you equal in glory and in greatness [O Egypt]? Yet you [also] will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the earth beneath (nether world). You will lie among the [d]uncircumcised (the barbaric, the boorish, the crude) with those who were slain by the sword. This is how it shall be with Pharaoh and all his hordes!”’ says the Lord God.”

Taiwan reports large incursion by Chinese air force

TAIPEI (Reuters) - Eight Chinese bomber planes and four fighter jets entered the southwestern corner of Taiwan’s air defence identification zone on Saturday, and Taiwan’s air force deployed missiles to “monitor” the incursion, the island’s Defence Ministry said.

China, which claims Taiwan as its own territory, has conducted almost daily flights over the waters between the southern part of Taiwan and the Taiwan-controlled Pratas Islands in the South China Sea in recent months.

However they have generally consisted of just one or two reconnaissance aircraft.

The presence of so many Chinese combat aircraft on this mission - Taiwan said it was made up of eight nuclear-capable H-6K bombers and four J-16 fighter jets - is unusual !!!!!

Syrian state media reported Israeli airstrikes near the western city of Hama in the predawn hours of Friday morning.

Syrian official news agency SANA said Syria’s air defenses confronted “Israeli aggression” near the city.

SANA quoted a military source as saying the attack had come from the direction of the city of Tripoli on Lebanon’s coast

Israeli television on Wednesday reported that Jerusalem is warning an American return to the former terms of the nuclear deal with Iran under President Joe Biden could lead the countries to a crisis in relations.

Channel 12 news cited “a very senior Israeli official” as saying: “If Biden adopts Obama’s plan, we will have nothing to talk about with him.” The official was referencing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action signed by former president Barack Obama in 2015. 

The official did not elaborate further.

The comments came just a day after Biden’s nominee for secretary of state Antony Blinken pledged to senators at his confirmation hearing that he would engage with Israel and its Arab allies before reentering the JCPOA. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s ambassador to the US Ron Dermer had called on Biden to do just that several weeks earlier.

Biden has made clear that a JCPOA return is his goal, but that he will only agree to do so if Iran returns to compliance with the deal first.
