47 years on, ISRAEL Defense Ministry releases color footage of Yom Kippur War

The Israel Defense Ministry on Tuesday released color footage — some of it never before published — of the 1973 Yom Kippur War in honor of the conflict’s 47th anniversary.

The Yom Kippur War began on October 6, 1973, when Syria and Egypt launched surprise, coordinated attacks on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar against ISRAEL, Israeli positions on the Golan Heights and Sinai Peninsula.

19 So you will eat fat until you are filled and drink blood till you are drunk, at the sacrificial feast which I have prepared for you. 20 You will eat your fill at My table with horses and riders, with mighty men, and with all the men of war,” says the Lord God.
