Sin Brings Death, Jesus is the Only Cure for Death

For those of you who are interested, a little Bible Study for this Sunday.
Just two deep chapters that get to the heart of what is wrong with humanity and everything else.

Some highlighted excerpts below, but take the time to read both chapters fully and prayerfully, otherwise the blinders will remain over your mind and eyes.

Romans 8

The mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot,  and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God....
For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.

There is ONLY one way off the dead end you're on, His name is Jesus

And they were talking with each other about all these things which had taken place.
While they were talking and discussing it, Jesus Himself came up and began walking with them.
But their eyes were [miraculously] prevented from recognizing Him.

Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish men, and slow of heart to trust and believe in everything that the prophets have spoken!

Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and [only then to] enter His glory?”  Then beginning with Moses and [throughout] all the [writings of the] prophets, He explained and interpreted for them the things referring to Himself [found] in all the Scriptures....

And it happened that as He reclined at the table with them, He took the bread and blessed it, and breaking it, He began giving it to them.
31 Then their eyes were [suddenly] opened [by God] and they [clearly] recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight.
32 They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was talking with us on the road and opening the Scriptures to us?”

Then He opened their minds to [help them] understand the Scriptures,  and said, “And so it is written, that the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
47 and that repentance [necessary] for forgiveness of sins would be preached in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

I love this chapter of Luke.
It's always good to hear Jesus get on our foolish, often blind to the truth that is right in front of us, and slow to believe hearts to give us a push in the right direction.

What is so beautiful is that the Alpha and the Omega Messiah Jesus began this redemption plan for hopeless, enslaved to sin, fallen man from Jerusalem, and He will end it there with His soon return and rule... and that is why Wicked, Rebellious Planet Earth is in such convulsions and turmoil with no peace in sight.
It's not going to settle down until the rightful owner and ruler of earth returns to Jerusalem.
The full circle,  BACK TO JERUSALEM.

OK, two more chapters for those who want to know the end (and new beginning) of it all
