A Message For 2016

Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise.
And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.
Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.
Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.
Daniel 12

Treachery and betrayal for the name of Jesus
I'm writing this to help you prepare for what is sure to come.
This coming year will be hard to the point of unbearable for many out there, but we are of those who have hope.
Keep your eyes on the Lord alone, not on any person, preacher or ministry. Jeremiah 17:5

Look at the terrible lesson naive Republicans and Conservatives are learning, having put their faith in liars and a corrupt political system ruling over a reprobate, godless land.
Many are depressed because their house built on sand has collapsed.
More stress and more anger ring in the new year for many.
This lack of peace leaves them open to the many more approaching pitfalls and snares.
If you build on the Rock, you won't get blown away by the many storms coming our way.

There is no stability now apart from Jesus Christ

We know that everything around us is growing darker by the day, but if we are focused on that alone and not the bigger picture, the darkness will swallow us up.
God is allowing all of this and He has given us the road to victory and triumph over the evil forces now arrayed against us.
Habakkuk lived in times like these and learned what we all must learn to overcome if we haven't already.
Here are a few important anchor's of hope for us to hold onto for the last lap of this race which God has provided for us to use.

1. The just/righteous shall live by his faith.
Habakkuk 2:4b

Without faith it is impossible to please God.

2. Is it not from the Lord of hosts that peoples toil for fire and nations grow weary for nothing? Habakkuk 2:13

The message here is that everything apart from God is vanity, futility, nothing, a waste, so don't waste your precious life on vain, fleeting pursuits.
Let God be the center of your life!
We are citizens of another Kingdom, an everlasting one that cannot be destroyed and what we see around us is all temporary and fleeting.
Make sure your heart is in the right place, so that when this place crumbles before you, it won't crumble you with it.
If our hearts are in the wrong place like Lot's wife we won't make it.
We have to be totally sold out for the Kingdom of God.
That way it does not matter who is elected or if there is even an election. We won't be moved by circumstances around us because we are looking at the big picture of what God is bringing to pass, and that is all that will remain.
It is wise to put all your eggs in God's basket because every other basket is full of holes.

next verse.....
"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." Habakkuk 2:14

God is going to accomplish this because only He can. We can't even get out of bed without His goodness and grace, let alone accomplish anything good and powerful without Him.
This Act of God is something that can not be stopped by the devil or his Obama or any other evil tyrant that will arise and so we should never be depressed or troubled when our focus is on what God will surely do.
The next very important anchor of hope for all of us as we head into a 2016 of gathering darkness, upheaval and wars should be embedded deep in our hearts and souls.

I heard and my inward parts trembled, At the sound my lips quivered.
Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble.
Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress, for the people to arise who will invade us.
Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail and the fields produce no food, though the flock should be cut off from the fold and there be no cattle in the stalls,
Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.
The Lord God is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places.
 Habakkuk 3:16-19

No matter what comes your way, rejoice in the Lord. That is how we will overcome!

The prophet Habakkuk knew the invading armies that God was sending was because of the wickedness of His people, but He knew and loved God with all his being, knowing that He was a just and merciful God, even in judgment.

We must love God more than life itself if we are to remain standing.
The enemy will try his old trick that worked so well on the children of Israel after they were freed from slavery in Egypt;
complain and blame God.
Whatever you do , do not fall into this trap of the damned. It's going to get difficult, but God will provide.
Do not complain, but get in the habit of thankfulness for everything, even the things you might take for granted.
This is faith in action versus doubt and unbelief which are a hopeless road and cause.

Don't let this happen with you.
If you haven't already, learn to thank God for everything as you praise Him daily for what He has given you. eternal salvation.
The devil will not be able to get close enough to you to get you to be depressed or complaining.

The Apostle Paul's said it well;
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now. And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Romans 8: 18-25

And one more for the road;

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them.
Revelation 12:11

May all of you have a blessed, shining bright new year in the mist of the growing darkness!

if this message connects with you, pass it on to others please
